My pre-birthday celebration

In case you all wanna know. This surprise pre-birthday celebration was initiated by ibu. Ibu felt all guilty when we had this conversation 3 days back…

Akif : Ibu, can you do for me my name?
Ibu : Your name?
Akif : Ya, my name. You put Happy Birthday on the wall. Then you do my name just like you do for Audra.
I think ibu must be hesitant as she pauses real hard.
Akif : Also put number 2 on the wall?
Ibu : HHmmm why 2? You’re 4.
Akif : (ggeezz how can I forget my age) Ah ya, 4. Then nanti ada ramai orang datang kan ibu, then boleh dapat banyak present like Audra.
Ibu : . . . . (deep thoughts)

But I guess that conversation somehow triggers this pre-birthday celebration.

Family day out

It was a fine Saturday. Tok Sani and Tok Jali family initiated for a picnic at Sentosa. So there we are enjoying the sun, the sand and the sea.

It is always wonderful to have good company… Speaking of good company, my family bumped into a creepy group by chance. These uncanny inhabitants are having a Halloween party… hence kita orang pun join in the party lah . . . kerkerker

off for lunch...

We went to our neighboring country to have our lunch. Before we do that, Audra and I get to play at the indoor playground. Audra was ecstatic. The moment ibu put her in the play area, she never look back for a minute. She trip, stumble and fall but never surrender. My little sis is beginning to show the feistiness and adventurous side of hers: )





Btw, do u notice the coconut on the table. It was actually filled with otak-otak… My parents were awed by its taste. They said it was scrumptious and yummylicious. I on the other hand was taken aback by its weird name.

Twenty Fourth October

As mentioned in my earlier post, the month of October holds a number celebration in my family. Today, is ibu’s birthday

Happy Birthday, ibu! We wish you health and happiness always.



We also received guests today. Nyai Faridah, Auntie Yasridah, Uncle Ashraf and Abang Nick came to visit.

A day out

Tok Sani had some time off today so he asked my parents permission to bring me out.

So without wasting any time, we went out to hhmmm….

Jalan-jalan

It is always great to go jalan-jalan with your family. We did just that today. We need a big walking area as Audra is into walking now. So which better place can we be other than Changi Airport kerkerker.

Target... by 4

My parents keep telling me that I am turning 4 soon. They have a target for me to achieve upon reaching 4 that is to stop thumb sucking. Even my dentist, Dr Rashid, told me that I have to quit that habit by the age of 4. Why is this habit of mine hard to kick… well, that’s why it is called a habit, right? Duh~~~

Nevertheless, I will try my best. I know I can with all the support my parents gave me. Surely, I do not wish my upper front teeth to flare out and tip upward … yikes…

Thumb sucking aside. There are other skills that I have learned to master slowly. Among others is reading… Yayi Ahmad helps me a lot in reading when ibu gets too busy to teach… Thanks Yayi.

Audra Turns ONE

Alhamdullilah... My dearest sister turns ONE today. Ibu and Ayah decided to hold a mini celebration for her just like what they did for me when I was one. I think they are trying to play it fair here heheheeee… It was an enjoyable celebration. I do ‘help out’ in setting up the place… see…



We received a number of guests too. On behalf of my family, THANK YOU for taking your time off to be part of Audra first birthday!



Audra was overexcited that day, sliding and cruising her way through the crowd. However, she turn coy and hid under the table when the birthday song was sang to her.. very funny..







It was really a fun and enjoyable celebration. Thank you all for making Audra’s first birthday a memorable one.

Ayah Birthday

Ayah turns 33th on 7th October 2010. Happy Birthday Ayah. Ibu gave ayah a buffet treat and I got to follow too wwoohhoooo. My main dish hhmmm chocolate fondue kerkerker…

Abang Amali Birthday

October is a month full of birthdays in my family… Audra, Ayah and Ibu celebrate their birthday in the month of October. Hey that means, I am the only one whose birthday is not in the month of October aarrgghhh why is that so... ? sshheesshhh… Apart from my family members, abang Amali also celebrated his birthday in October. We went over to Abang house at Upper Boon Keng for a mini celebration. Happy birthday Abang Amali.
