The water bag was burst successfully by gynae, Dr Julianah Abu Wong. Everything was tolerable until mum cervix was 5 to 6 cm dilated. Mum got some unbearable pain when it got to 8cm. I could hear dad motivating and encouraging mum. I was sliding further and further down. Mum was having excruciating contractions at about 2230 hrs. I could hear them recite some prayers and I too follow suit so that everything will go well for all of us. At about 2300hrs I heard mum telling Dad that she can no longer endure the contractions. Dad immediately informs the nurses to call for the gynae. Mum can't cling any longer and was beginning to push me out. I pray for the gynae to reach the labour ward soon. Fortunately, gynae came at about 2330hours. Mum was told to 'push' when the next cycle of contractions come. She's holding on to Dad tightly and after three pushes, I began to see some rays of light. Mum's such a strong person. She gave her all without any regional anesthesia. At 2346hrs, I was born. The nurses took my weight and my body length. I remember I was crying but Dad was telling me that I’m such a good boy. The nurse wrapped me up and put me in the cot. I open my eyes and saw Dad, I smiled. Dad recites some prayers and says 'Alhamdulillah, Akif, there you are. A gift from god. Mum and Dad promise to take care of you.' Dad was told to leave the room for a while after which he came back and did a prayer call on me. Alhamdulillah.
This is the day I was born. Thank you Allah. Thank you Mum. Thank you Dad.
